2010 Opponents Revealed

The Senior and Youth teams reveal 2010 opponents

07-01-2010

The Kent Exiles today revealed their 2010 season opponents at both Senior and Youth levels.

The Senior team once again had a good season last time out, qualifying for the play-offs, and as such retain their position in the British American Football League (BAFL) Division 1 South East.

2010 sees the Exiles play last years divisional rivals the Ipswich Cardinals, Cambridge Cats and Peterborough Saxons once again, but also take on old opponents in the Colchester Gladiators, and most significantly for the first time the East Kent Mavericks.

The Exiles have been Kents only representatives in the upper echolons of the league for 5 years now, but last season saw the Mavericks win the Division 2 south east conference, and earn promotion, creating the Kent clash. Will the Mavericks claim the Kent title, or will the Exiles reign continue?

The Exiles Youth team are this year placed in the BAFL Youth East division, and they will face a host of new opponents in 2010, and there will be a raft of double header matches in Crockenhill after the Cats, Saxons, Gladiators and Mavericks were all placed in the Exiles division. The list is rounded out by local rivals the Maidstone Pumas.

All fixtures take place both home and away, with the Exiles playing their matches at Crockenhill FC, nr Swanley, and finalised fixture details are expected to be released in February.
